8.8 with 3 31 gears and t lock


just how much of a difference will this be to my car with a turbo setup????? sorry just curious from people who have or actually had it?

are you manual or auto? if auto go 3.55

those gears are the most commonly used with turbo because the turbo can give max boost at a good duration and still have good acceleration... the gears arent too short or too long for a turbo... they make for a good match. 3.31 if manual, 3.55 if auto

i got an auto everyone said save the 200 and go with the 3 31 cause there isnt a real big diff with 3 31 and 3 55

theres not a big difference in the two but auto loses more hp/tq to the rear wheels than manual does. thats why a higher gear ration is recommended for auto than manual to make up for the extra loss. its your call on the 200. theres not much difference but the 3.55 will give a lil more acceleration

lol i guess its too late cause it was shipped out yesterday o well i needed the stonger 8.8 to support the power i just wanted to know how much of a diff the rear and that t lock will make to the car

yea i really cant wait anymore i have all the turbo boxes sitting in my house just waiting for the rear to arrive at the shop so everything can get installed im also getting it dyno tuned, im gonna post the dyno results and all pics when im finished. it shipped from speed concepts mon hopefully it comes by the end of the week
