Your car is wanting to drift? Hehe just joking. Mine never has done that, but at times when I floor it, random things flash on my dash also...

I doubt it has anything to do with brake fluid as the emergency brake is mechanical not hydraulic. It's probly just a bad switch or the contacts in the switch come togethor when you punch it.

also check to see if your E brake cable is a little loose.. if it is the light may come on when you hit a bump and the e brake rattles.

Funny thing is that this also happens to me, I get it when my car is starting to warm up and then it stops after a while. Ima check my ebrake and brake fuild now.

Some cars, but I don't think the Mustang, have a brake fluid level switch in the brake fluid cap. With this system, often, if the fluid is a bit low, it sloshes when you accelerate and makes the brake light come on.

It sounds like a loose connection or a short to me, but deffinately check your fluid level too.

Ok so yeh im thinking there is a short in the wires somewhere cause my rpm gauge has been acting up forever, and tonight on the way home from work it went all the way past seven and hit the little stopper and stayed that way and im pretty sure its still stuck there.
