Rayleigh scattering causes the blue to be the color that gets to u....so really its not one color, just blue is the only one that gets absorbed as well and scattered closest to earth....somethin like that

when i was in basic training, they told us the sky was blue because god loves the infantry. they also told us that blood makes the green grass grow, but i'm pretty sure it's actually water... so who knows, maybe my drill sergeants were wrong.
