05-08 8.8 GT Rear End On 99-04 Stangs?

Hi Guys. How much modification would it take to fit an 8.8 rear end of an 05-08 GT on the 99-04 v6 mustangs? Speed Concepts - TO1010 - 2005-2008 Mustang GT 8.8 Rear End Axle takeoffs with 3.31 gears and T-lock (also direct fit on V6 models)

That would save alot lot of hassle of having to take the 7.5 rear off the 99-04 v6's to a shop to have them install new gears and a t-loc, plus trustworthy shops are hard to find. Has anyone mounted one of these rears from speedconcepts to their 99-04 V6's? Any info would be very useful. Thanks

That blows...looks like it has to be done the roundabout way then.

Hey man what are your future goals. Unless it is over 300HP then a t-lok and gears for your 7.5 is almost always cheaper and easier than an 8.8 swap. Trust me I know. If I wasn't planning for the future I'd already have new gears and a t-lok. They're pretty cheap and easy to find. I've been searching for all the 8.8 stuff for months now. I already have the gears and the install kit. I think I will soon be getting the differential and axles. Now I'm gonna have to start searching my ass off to find a housing.

Yeah, I don't plan on doing too much with the engine as of right now, but I was thinking that if the 8.8 rear end could be put on without much modification and do it myself, then that would be cheaper than buying new gears and a t-loc for my 7.5 and with the cost of labor at some shop. I can't even get my front end aligned without wondering what the hell they're doing to my car when I'm in the waiting area. I don't think I'm paranoid...just cautious .
