yes i have an auto- much more consistent than a manual. firmer shifts are quicker shifts by the tranny. it is all controlled by the computer- shift points, firmness, rpm and speed...
with that being sed....is your next car gunna be an auto as well
they dont make svt's in automatics

Its still fun i think pluss if you tired or not feeling well you dont have to worry about shifting or any thing. but now since i know more about mustangs and stuff my next mustang will be gt and manual trans. probly wont be for a long time though.

autos can only be faster in a strait line, and i dont have to even think about shifting anmore, it just sort of happens, so i dont "worry" about shifting at all most of the time

When my car was auto, it was definately faster. But, if you guys drive in town most of the time, don't get a drag clutch. As you let the clutch out, it goes : nothing, nothing, nothing, BAM!, Full Engagement.

My legs were really sore from playing football one day. And, I had to drive home with a Spec Stage 3 clutch (lots of pedal force). It was a very jerky ride.

I still like stick better.

i dont know any more about manual what is the advantage if its slower then a auto ? i used to be dumb and thought that you can only burn out with a manual but you can do it just as easy with an auto.

I guess I forgot to mention that autos are generally faster with boosted vehicles. You can keep the pedal down and maintain high boost pressure.

With manual boosted cars, you let off the gas when you shift (you should anyway). Then, you lose boost and need to regain it. It builds up fast, so there isn't much loss.

Drivetrain loss is significantly less on a manual. This usually makes naturally aspirated cars with automatics slower than manuals.

I guess it all depends on how much power your engine puts out. Lots of power means an auto is faster. Less power means a manual is faster.

There will be exceptions, but generally speaking that rule works.

17x9
kinda wish i had 18s but they dont make mine in 18s, or i havent seen them. plus as it is they've slowed my car down enough, 18s would be to much. im kinda thinkin about selling them for some lighter rims

it kinda is..not very noticable but i notice it...its cuz the rims are heavier, and it take longer for the wheel to rotate

the further out the mass on the wheel is, the greater the power loss to the raod is, both larger brakes and bigger rims have more rotational mass further out from the axel, causing greater power loss.

this is all ok though, because the increase in traction and cornering of the wider and shorter tire outwieghs the possible acceleration losses due to the big rim most of the time.

Newton's 2nd law (when converted to angular coordinates) states T=I*alpha where T=torque, I=moment of inertia, and alpha=angular acceleration.

The torque remains constant so if you increase the moment of inertia, the angular acceleration must decrease in order to keep a constant torque.

i noticed that today... i got my new rims on my car... the 17x8's and my car felt a lil slower... and i asked my navigator(brother) and he said it seems a bit slower... or maybe a lil rougher ride but we couldn't quit figure out if it was indeed slower or not...

the grand prix GT next to me couldn't tell that my car was slower... especially from the rear... ha

but yea i was wondering ... if it was slower or not ... and i guess the answer is yea

some wheels cause it to go slower due to weight of the wheels... the more mass the more power needed to turn, it is possible

the turbo should be about 4 grand for eveything and it will put u close to 385 rwhp. u can get the headlights on ebay brand new for 100$ shipped. and the smoked headlights came stock on the 2003-2004 v6. and window tint will cost about 200 but dont get the windshield tinted because it is highly illegal and you can get a huge ticket
