I only ran the car for about 10 seconds but it sounds like it is knocking or something and isnt making good sounds. Yes possibly the cam bearings could have gotten damaged, but i dont know. Would a scratch or something cause this or would it have to be the thing destroyed
When you put the new pump in you could have done damage to FTP sensor. Other possible causes could be that the FTP circuit is open, a damaged PCM which I highly doubt, SIG RTN circuit could be open, VREF (reference voltage) shorted to VPWR, and last the FTP could be shorting to the VREF or VPWR. If you can monitor the FTP V PID reading greater than 4.5 volts with Key On Engine Off it indicates a hard fault. Also would like to add that if and when you monitor the oil pressure from a mechanical one it should read 40-125 psi at 2500 rpm (Hot)

I will check about the oil filter. That would have for sure filled up in like ten seconds of running?

Yes.

What kind of a guage do i need to check the oil pressure.
Any kind of after market mechanical gauge will work ( I have a VDO). They connect up by tubing with a compression fitting on the end. You will probably need an adaptor to connect it in place of the oil pressure sender. If you take the oil pressure sender with you they can determine the thread size. For a Mustang the correct adaptor may come with the gauge.

I haven't posted further on this because I assumed you want to get other opinions.

Did you check if the oil filter filled up? If it did the oil pump is working.

It would be useful to measure the oil pressure with a gauge just to be sure, but since your also hearing engine noise, I think you really do have low oil pressure.

Possible causes are excessive clearances in the oil pump, a stuck pressure relief valve, or excessive clearances in the bearings.
