turbo time

now It took me awhile to decide but I'm going TT on my 94 v6. I've reserved the blower for my Mach so whats a really good kit or do I have to buy turbos seperatly and intercooler etc etc and get pipe made? I'm getting internals and I have the 8.8 that's gonna be built. I have fuel upgrades so I just need the turbo kit. Thanks

In getting a tranny. I know I'll the precautions are taking care of as I said. And thanks for the link. My timing chain is going so I'm going to do a complete overhaul as I've been putting it off for quite some time. As soon as I fix that and get some better gears I'll be pusing high 14s with a few tweaks before turbo. I'll keep yall updated

i bet if you ported the hell out of a single port you could get it to flow just as much if not more then a split port

if you want a TT set up your to options are TMA or do it your self. and making a kit isn;t that easy or cheap so i would just say go with the TMA set up.

I know its big bucks and its not happening overnight but I want to know my options. And I'm not investing in the split port I have potted intakes and heads maybe I'll split port down the road but not now if loose power with stock split port stuff. I'm just getting a rear diff gears axle input shaft and a few more hear and there I have the clutch and fuel components for it I have a nice can but I have to switch to a turbo cam. I have the 8.8 rear in it. I have upgraded coils. Eventually I'm boring and stroking it. But that's way down the road. I'm still spending money on the Mach for now

If you can find a kit then the pipes should be included and pre-fit for a straight bolt-in. A kit should also include new injectors, a tuner with the proper tune,, intercooler and basically everything you'll need except tools

If you don't get a kit I'd suggest just making a list of the parts (turbos and intercooler)you want and going to a performance shop that has a chassis dyno and let them advise you on your selection and once that's all done have them do the work. Let the shop get the injectors too. Then they'll be sized right for your application.

With any kind of charged-air system an intercooler is desireable, especially with turbos because of the high temperatures involved.

for 04 and older TMA TURBO is the only one that sells the kit. it doesnt include injectors or a fuel pump
just an awsome turbo kit thats been more then proven to be awsome

i personally would get a single kit over a twin kit...your saving easily over $1k by it for VERY SIMILAR results if not the same

The advantage of a TT is that you can have smaller turbos, which spool quicker on less back pressure and still obtain boost levels of a larger turbo without the lag. If you have the knowhow to make your own kit it's possible to save A LOT of money by buying used turbos. I am currently designing a twin turbo kit for my 97 3.8 and I would be more than happy to give you all the knowledge I have as well as find you turbos for a good price. However I trust Chris above all when it comes to turbo applications and the 3.8 motor in general.
