Haha no offense taken at all........Thanks I was leaning that way. I do have the 40th edition badge on mine. Just was thinking out loud if I was to keep it would it ever hold the value of say a Eleanor Shelby. I'm sure back in the 60's when it was produced they weren't too enamored with it, but look at most car enthusiast now....espacially mustang people. Hell they even made a movie with it as the primary prized posession

I know in 1999 - the 35th anniversary - all Mustangs had the badges, but only like 4,000 had the special "35th Anniversary" upgrades. If it's the same for 2004 (only V8s) then yours should be nothing special, it just means it was made in 2004 and you got a different emblem.

MOD IT!
mine is a 40th anniversary edition too. there are v6s with it too. my first car was a 99 35th edition too . i think his dilemma is wondering if he should waste time and money to mod this car

most of those were the v8s tho, but i guess it is possible for the v6 to get value over a long time...but who knows

Yeah.....its a pretty open ended question and its probably not going to be worth much since you reminded me she's only a 6er....thanks for that.

In that case I need to get rid of her. Deploying to Iraq soon so she's gotta go. I won't say what I want to get to avoid an all out war but we'll see how things go.

I got seriously screwed when i got the car and owe 15k still............any takers?

ive wondered about this too... like getting turbo and cai and stuff.. if it would lower the value.

I guess you could always keep your original pipes and put them back on if you ever wanted to sell your car, but if you really do keep a car for 30 years(i also plan on keeping mine forever and just buying more cars if i want) i doubt you will want to sell it because of its sentimental value... but a GT would probably have a better resale value(if we stiff have gas in 30 years)

That was a Shelby GT500, they where always rarer, higher performance, and worth more than a regular Mustang.

Annd how the hell do you owe 15k on an 04? Sounds like someone overpaid...

Wow, that's sad that she has to go Mustang is in my blood, so maybe it's different for me, but I guess even I'd sell my car for the "right" reason, but it'd have to be one hell of a reason, like life of a loved one on the line
