your compression ratio in the motor is based on your choice of pistons/cylinder head chamber size... not your exhaust.

Then why, when you have an enormous exhaust like those ricer fartcans, do you lose torque? unless you have a high performance engine that is..

it is possible to lose low end torque, but your top end rwhp numbers will more than make up for the tq loss. not on the fart cans, as they are just mufflers, but on larger, free flowing pipes. too large an exhaust is very detrimental though. there is a pipe size chart floating around for cubic inch and hp numbers of motors

buit you shouldnt lose any low end torque on your otherwise stock engine, only gains

agressive cam + carbed n/a engine is normally the only thing that will experience noticalble low end losses with the low back preasure exhaust

and btw, fart cans dont lessen back preasure, only annoy other drivers

yea its your back pressure that is loss not compression...

if you want you could custom fab some high flow , yet constrictive exhaust system thingy

i don't know what i just siad but it sounds good
