hood question
Ok, this just dawned on me...I had a hood ordered when i got into my accident last fall, and when it came in it was too skinny. So, and dont cringe too much...but it was combined with my old hood and made into a new super hood...but what my question is...is the Cobra R-SVO the same size width wise as the new age, or did somehow this whole senario get really really screwed up?

did you order the hood for the correct year car? Thats the only thing i can think of......or maybe they shipped the wrong year hood. Exactly how did you combine the two hoods?

im still trying to get pics posted....and the font...wow didnt even notice that...the hood has the outer parts of the old hood and the new hood was trimmed up placed in the middle of the old hood and riveted and bondo'd down.

you can rivet and bondo fiberglass? That has crack city written all over it.
Fiberglass mesh + resin, when working with fiberglass stuff.

... your hood should have fit right... take measurements and make sure your fenders and everything are square... and then call around and see if the hood you are looking at has precise dimensions available then see how those compare to your car

Oh wow, I really want to see how this turned out... How did you get a skinny hood again? Why didn't you contact wherever you got your hood from and tell them it was too skinny for your car?

i think i got the software to work this mornng right before leaving for work...if i did pics will be posted at about 5 central...and what happened was...i got into my car wreck in october, was leaving for a three month tdy (military) two days later, my girlfriend of the time, her dad is a mechanic of a small rickity dink place. he had everything except the hood done, painted and ready to go when i got back...he wanted to make sure i got the hood i wanted and he dug around EVERYWHERE....(or so he says, hes comp. illiterate) eventually he found the one i have now...the Cobra R-SVO hood. it was too skinny...i told him i needed my car it had been in his shop for four months at this time and i was tired of buming rides when im paying for this car...so...he rednecks it together and thats how i got the two hoods as one...its heavy as a mofo, and is always cracking where the two hoods meet. due to air getting in between the two hood parts...i eventully will just replace the hood again...but right now i dont have the money, im getting deployed in a few months, so when i get back something will happen. ok...sorry for rambling and hopefully the pics will be up tonight.
