Putting In A V8?

What would be needed to drop a v8 in a v6 stock? i fell in love with the gts sound and would like to have that on my car. i dont know any thing about cars really so what parts would i need? how much would it all cost? how much to get it installed ? how much hp ? also i wont be doing any racing with it i just like to roast some cars "ricers" i see on the road. so i dont need the best stuff to stand up with the abuse.

I'm not sure what others would say, but it might actually be cheaper to sell your existing V6 model, and then purchase a GT model....

It depends on how much your V8 costs and the other accessories...

If the cost of the V8/accessories + cost of your car is higher than the cost of a GT, it might be better to just grab a GT....

Personally, I purchased my V6 for the EXACT purpose of modding it up to the point where I could get out there and roast some ricer type cars... And I wanted to make it worse for them by doing it in a V6

you can roast a stock pre '05 GT with full bolt ons + a cam and maybe port and polish in a 99+ v6

just letting you know

also, it would probably be cheaper to have just gotten a cobra/ GT in the first place rather than a swap

well im most likely getting a 4.2 stroker engine..its still a v6 just stroked. you can get the kit $2k and have someone or you put it on your self...of buy the whole engine for $3,700 and drop that in.
no ones told me how much hp it'll have but im guessing near 240. it'll beat or keep up with the GT's of your year.
also im told if i throw a 11psi procharger i'll see 400rwhp. that aint to bad at all!

a crate engine...thats basically an engine that you can build up to be however you want it too. you can make a 300hp v6 if you know how to and throw forged products in it to handle everything

crate engine is an engine in a box usually made by someone else... you can get crate engines that are turn key... all the way down to a blcok with rotating assembly and heads only... pretty large market in crate motors

if your going to get a 4.2 with a procharger are you going to swap out to an 8.8" or leave in the 7.5" till you blow it out? just wondering
