'94 CAI Questions & MAF Requirements
Hello,
I am considering installing a CAI for the added HP and fuel econ. My questions is, what is the best bang for my buck in regards to CAI's (links would be awesome when recommending one). Also, if I am to get a CAI, will any MAF adjustments need made? Replacement, tunes, etc? I currently cannot afford a tuner... Nor can I in the near future. Thanks for the time & suggestions! |

you won't need to adjust your maf or get a tune.

ok first the CAI is not gonna give you 'the added HP' as you put it.. maybe 1-2 but thats it. and as far as i know, now adjustments need to be made to the MAF... now if only you had a 99-04 you could buy my CAI for 25 bucks

From what I have read and understand, a CAI will give you an added 5-15hp, depending on year/model with the mustang.
EDIT: Thanks for the other info and links |

Welcome to MM. I agree with what was stated above. On a totally different topic...you don't happen to make swords do you? I am a sword enthusiast and there is both a raven studios (who make wooden practice swords) and a raven armories(who make real swords). I didn't know if you might be affiliated with either of those. Or did you just think it was a cool user name?

haha, interesting.
No I am also an enthusiast (though lack the money to show it). However, I am not affiliated with either of those businesses. I choose RavenSword because it takes some of the meanings of my name and combines them. Brandon, taken from its Celtic/Gaelic roots, means Little Raven. Hence, the Raven. Brandon, via its Old English roots, means Old Broom Hill / Fiery Hill / Sword, or Quick with a Sword / Fighter, Warrior. Hence, the sword choice. Had I taken it a step further, I'd have added an Irish meaning, Prince, to it and made my user name "Prince RavenSword," or even a step further, and used another Irish meaning, "Prince RavenSword the Brave." haha ^_^ Sorry to disappoint. |
