what the hell......light still on..new o2
mmmmmmmmk.....a couple weeks ago pulled a code saying my heater was out on my bank one sensor two o2 sensor...so i got the replacement and got under there yesterday and ummm...idk if im blind but i only saw ONE o2 sensor on each side...so i figured since my car is a 94 with OBD2 maybe it was just going by that so i replaced the sensor anyway...but its still throwing the code...how do i replace something thats not there? unless the exhaust shop cut my shit out when i had them put my Xpipe on and cut my two back cats...the only ones i have are right off my manifolds and thats it...but if they did cut em why would it only show the drivers side and why call it just a heat malfunction....the car runs fine and gas mileage normal so is it just throwin a bullshit code that cost me 60 bucks haha thanks guys

you should have 2 on each side and bank one sensor 2 would be passenger side rear sensor so make sure you replaced the right one

after you replace the sensors, rest the code and disconnect the negative on the battery. The code may just be stuck in the computers memory.

if your still throwing a code you need to erase it
if it continues and you dont have cats then your cat is reading you dont have the sensor plugged in...throwing a code because the cat is gone and so is the sensor

This happened to me and I ended up replacing the same sensor three times (autozone paid for two of the sensors because they thought they were faulty) and then I got sick of it and got a diagnostics check run on it and the handheld code reader was wrong and it was a completely different sensor. May wanna try that before you replace uneccessary stuff

replaced both sensors...light is still on..weak sauce...im guessing its throwing the codes because the sensors arent actually there...but why is it only the code on the passengers side and not the drivers side..and why is just the heater and not the actual 02 and i have apparently been missing them for about 2 years now ha

They must have cut 2 of your O2 sensors. The downstream sensor should be located after your cats. And on the stock 6 would be in the y-pipe. So I'm betting that's the problem. BTW it is VERY VERY unusual for a 94 to have OBD2. Did you do an engine swap? If you're not having any problems other than the light, I would just go ahead and clear the code.

it had a swap right before i got it..so apparently they went ahead and swapped the harness and shit....i wanna know why this code is just now popping up and why its not saying both sensors are fucked...i cleared the code but it came back...now im pissed that they cut my sensors...how unprofessional hahah i just drove to dallas so i could "gauge my miles" and its still the same before the code popped up...so now its just the fact the light annoys me
next time i crawl under there imma search for the cut wires haha
