Why the hell did you put an intercooler on an STS turbo? That was total waste of money. The STS turbo isn't in the engine bay. It is already cooled by the air around it. The intercooler is totally worthless! You should take it out and sell it to someone who is getting a powerhouse turbo kit.

Also chris is right (as usual) the 8.8 doesn't get you any power, but it is good that you have it cuz otherwise you'd break your rear end.

eh its not totally worthless because the charged air is still going to get a little hot...but not enough that an intercooler will give him much advantage....for sure...
just MORE piping to the intake...

STS is just about a mile of piping turbo kit

thats clearly not all your doing
lets leave it at that

your question has been answered
you mpg will clearly decrease while your at WOT...your going from relying on vacuum(n/a) to having air forced in the motor...you need the right fuel to mix correctly with that...which is much more fuel then naturally aspirated...
hence bigger fuel injectors and pump...

Wait...so you're saying that they are putting #s on there site for a car without an intercooler, but an intercooler came as part of the kit? That doesn't seem right to me. Usually on the site they're gonna do all they can to get the numbers up. It would follow naturally that they would install the entire kit on there test car.

Cliff notes:
Guy tries to promote STS turbo (which has more pipe in the kit than the hot drunk asian girl who left the club with 6guys in a tahoe last night) adds an intercooler (boost loss over space!) and is going at it with chris (who makes more than STS advertises [don't people usually wanna advertise more to make it sound good anyway?] with a push rod v6 and 9psi) This should be interesting!
