upper intake manifold or top of exhaust manifold? usually clicking noises are tied to exhaust leaks

would you say it is more of a tapping or is it like a chirping noise? does it matter if the car is warmed up or cold? any loss of power?

i did check for the noise under the car as well for a spun bearing but i'm not sure me and my dad are fightin about which is louder under the car or on top but the sound is definately louder on the drivers side of the manifold.

k so i'm praying it's not a spun bearing or my headers but so far this is what i've looked up. and being a newer car i don't think it's the push rods.

Engine makes a ticking noise:
As soon as you start the engine, you hear a ticking noise. It sounds like a pencil tapping. The speed of the noise increases with an increase in engine speed.

Possible causes:
The valves need to be adjusted: Adjust valves.

There is sludge in the engine which is restricting oil flow: Flush engine, replace oil filter and fill with new oil.

Hydraulic valve lifters bad: Replace valve lifters.

One or more of the engine's valves are stuck: Check valves and repair. (Generally not a DIY job)

Push rods bent or worn out: Replace push rods.

also my OBII codes say it's an oil pressure switch failure

ouch dude that sucks

some of those make sense and some are out of place... on your list

ima take a stab in the dark and say that its your valves... that could also be why their is oil leaking too...

but thats just my opinion... im no mechanic

ok well changed the oil and all that fun stuff. so far no leaks and thank god i did it yesterday cause we had a snow blizzard today lol an di tend to work outside haha. anyways i'm thinking it was clicking cause the oil leaked out and it didn;t have any and now i'm just looking at a bent valve or one that is miss aligned now. but i'll keep an eye out make sure it's not leaking still.
