Question About Cold Air Intakes

what is the difference between the lower priced intakes sold on ebay compared to a high price intake such as a bbk? is the change in the sound of the engine noticable?

ebays $25 ones are all metal tubed intakes....they can get hot and retain heat inside where as K&N wont do it as much

not like that actually hinders perfornace though in comparison to your composite ones though. and they wont get "red" hot, actually just a 'bit' cooler than the v6's out-dated metal intake manifold, which, when heat soaked pretty much negates the temp of the CAI tube

get the cheaper one!

meh just made better and tested more. more engineering went into the name brand ones making sure less restriction in the flow of air but the cheap ones will work just the same nothing you'll be hooting and hollaring over.

the flow is pretty much the same on all, the conical filter and having a strait pipe rather than a box is how they all flow better, really. but it's not like any will actually give you gains unless you have a cam or something, but they do look cooler, lol

Ones found on ebay won't pass emissions if your state requires them.
