???? idling problem

???? idling problem


My ac is making my car idle bad, what is the prob it just started today after i ran my car to tappahannock n back which is a 2 hr drive n had the ac on the whole way there n back now its idles bad when i have the ac on n even when u turn it off it idles bad for awhile! Any idea's what it might be?

compressor might be locked up...even though the AC is off your compressor could be trying to hook up but not going all the way so its putting a strain on the belt as for the rest of the system...

then again idk if that would cause it to idle weird...sure its the AC causing this?it doesnt do it when your driving?

No it only does it at idle, it run fine when ur driving, n i know its the ac cause i turned it off for a while then it was ok but as soon as i turned it on again it started idleing bad. It idles ruff, n a little low.

now its doing it with out the ac on, n my fan shakes n makes wierd noises when it does it, but it doesn't do it all the time it will do it fo alittle then stop. I don't know what it is, anyone know what it might be?

is it jumping around the rpms? My guess is IAC and throttle body needs a good cleaning.

hmm usually a problem while at idle and not driving is a vaccum problem or IAC but idk wtf would be causing your fan to shake...have you checked it to make sure the blades are broken or something?

My fan is loose or sumthing cause it hits the guard n slows down my idle, or maybe the bearings are gone in it. if its loose how do i tighten it?

take it off the radiiator and check it...then the fan is accessible to tighten..if possible..idk i have never had to tighten my fan...

Yea I hopin to get it fixed soon, I hope by tommorow. It was crazy it was on my way home from ur place, i was almost home n i got to a stop light n it was bein wierd the idle was ruff n it was makin wierd noises, I was like wtf!! But o well atleast its not a major problem.
