ok...i checked all the hoses and i shorted the iac...and i made sure that i didnt have a vacuum leak....but it still will not start up...but when i have someone hold the throttle body it will start up but it will backfire alot...and it smells a little like fireworks...i am stumped on this one...any comments is welcome

check you plug wire order case i had a smiler problem when i put my new wires on and fucked up the order

um....i will check the wires but i doubt that its that...because i checked them before...but like yall said its easily over looked..

ok...i have checked everything that there is to check...i checked plug wires vacuum hoses any type of air leak (i even put silicon around the ports on the intake) i shortened the iac all wires are are connected except for 2 which go to the egr which i deleted i changed the computer because my ecu was modified with 3 degrees advanced timing....and now it wont even try to crank up...before it cranked up but it was really really ruff and it didnt want to stay cracked unless you held the throttle body...

but the car turns over?
hows the fuel pressure looking also how fast does it crank make sure the battery is charged as well, if its been sitting it will die slowly

no, it does not turn over...it seems that it tries to crank @ normal speed... I can put a charger on it again.
