yupp, going to lunch and to deliever a package i didnt let the car sit at idle long enough. a car was coming so i gunned it
11.6psi mixed with octane boost and 93
once i hit full boost
BOOM
heard the rod knocking back and forth
trail of oil behind me
blew a hole in the oil pan from what i can see so far.
all of my turbo kit is off and motor is ready to be taken out soon

ordering a gasket kit. rebuilding brandons stock motor. im going to port the heads and lower intake and then install
im going to run 5.8psi with the ported setup or 8.7psi for a while
i'll have pictures later

the worst part was he told me while i called him ask about a broken upper intake bolt...his problem was a bit bigger than mine

probably another piss off was that i took of the turbo kit in fuckin like 2 hours or less. probably 1hr 30min
took me like 20-25hours to put on...

Why where you running 11.6psi on a non-forged engine? Thats asking for it to blow with a lot of throttle.

thats a perfectly safe amount on a stock engine. its not the psi really but the power youre making that will blow the motor. the breaking point for the stock internals is about 330-380rwhp

So is it possible the block is still intact? Maybe you can just rebuild it with forged rods and pistons and put it back together as before.

he didnt let it idle before he gunned it.. thats why it blew. if there would have been a long enough idle it would have been fine
