Weird sound

Mine whined the whole time but hell of alot louder when i turned my wheel. I would check Your power steering fluid tommorow. It didnt go away right away i drove around the block and still heard it and went back out 30 mins later and the sound was gone.

Yup thats exactly what happened with mine, but that was a while ago and i figured it out right away so no damage was done.

I just checked the fluid and its a tad about the line....

Fords power steering pumps are much louder than most others, it could just be normal. but add the fluid if you think it needs it, it wont hurt anything

K, i guess i wont worry about it then. It only does it when I'm going really slow and turning, like when i back out of my driveway and turn onto the main road it's pretty loud. After that its all good, but i was just curious

Your wheel isnt all the way over is it? And can you hear it over radio loud or just bearly audible loud? Mine sorta sounded like a really crappy supercharger the way it whined when I excellerated.

No, its not all the way over, but when i do put it all the way over it is horrible

. But once i get going i can't here it over the radio...or over the engine for that matter

Well when its all the way over your making full pressure thats why it sounds terrible, all power steering pumps do that, But if its not a bother don't worry about it, just make a mental note to keep an eye on it and you should be good to GOOOOOOOO!
