Misfire/Coil Questions
Finally had a chance to uncover my car for the summer. It sat in my garage for the last seven months while i was at school under a car cover. After i washed it and did a fast detail, changed the oil, and took some pics, i took it out on the road. It ran like shit. Sputter up hills and under loads. Figured it was bad gas so i filled 1/2 tank with some 91 octane just to clean everything out. No change. Took it to get inspected and on the way threw a check engine light, saying multiple misfire in cyllinder 3 and 4. Now after reading other threads, i read that if you get a misfire in cyllindars 1 and 2, 3 and 4, or 5 and 6 it could be the coil?
Any guesses? I ran the car for 130 miles this past week. Its still sputters, not as bad, but gets worst going up hills. If i resort to going to a coil pack, id rather spend another 25 bucks and get the screamin demon coil. But, will this increase in spark duration and head affect my car with my nitrous? |
