low profiles look horrible imo and its a lot easier to curb your rims with them.. 17's are the ideal size because they still look good and are lighter and cheaper than 18's... 17's with some mid profiles and a 1.25 inch drop looks sweet

if you end up getting staggered rims make sure the face of the rim looks the same. i bought a set not even thinking about that and the rears were 9.5 inches wide so the spokes sat deep down inside the wheel while the front (7.5 inches) spokes were flush against the outside of the rim. it looked gay as shit.

also, make sure the centerbore of the rim is bigger than the diameter of the hub and the bolt pattern matches, those are the biggies. I want to say the bolt pattern is 5x114.3. I'm spacing on the centerbore, a local rimshop should be able to tell you. you also want to check the offset of the rim so it's flush with the car, not sucked into the fender or sticking out like the hispanic population here in az does on purpose. last thing i can think of is watch out for the front caliper, it's not extremely large, but make sure there's gonna be clearance.

another thing to consider. my 18's rubbed during hard cornering and whoops with lower profile tires (i could have gone lower but shit gets expensive) and stock suspension. if you drop the car along with bigger rims and tires it's most likely gonna rub.
