bad pinion gear

alright so yesterday i replaced my wheel bearings and seals because there was noise coming from the wheels and after asking people wat they thought it was everyones first guess was wheel bearings. I got them replaced, and one of the bearing taht i thought was bad, so one thing down.

The problem is when i was on the road there is still the noise coming from the rear end, it isnt as loud as before, but its still noticable. My assumption is the pinion gear isnt lined up perfectly, thus causing the noise. I know that the rear end was opened up before i did, because there was no gasket (go figure thats wat u get for buying used cars).

Basically my question is if the pinion gear is slighly off, beside a lil accelerated wear on the gears, is there any immediate danger or should i go ahead and take it to a shop to get fixed, because later this summer im switching to an 8.8 rear end and honestly i dont want to put the money into the 7.5 if i dont have too

thanks for the hlep

my gears have whined since i put them in on accelleration between 40-45 and 60-65 because my drive side is out of spec but its been like that for over a year and it hasnt blown out yet...just annoying..
