actually their is a quick little way to get some more power at higher rpms. just stick a 800 ohm resistor between the 2 prongs in the engine coolant temp sensor. it will tell the computer that the engine is cooler than it really is, works best if you have made some breathing mods to your motor

no not joking
the computer controls the amount of fuel as we all know but it varies that amount based on temperature and barometric pressure, put the resistor in and bam more fuel

its not a whole lot but its somethin

Why mess with your computer the cheap way when you can tune it the right way?

well as i can only cure ignorance, not stupidity. I hope you didnt know that they were making fun of such mods in the above posts, because if you did then you ar stupid, if not then you are just ignorant.

here is the fix for your ignorance:

Most engines' timing is maximised for the most power with a specific grade of fuel. Part of this includes the IATS which gives the computer a reading for what the temp is coming into the engine so it can set the timing for the maximum for that grade of ful for at that temp.

If you rig the signal from the IATS, then the computer will set the timing to be too agressive for that grade of fuel (and possibly too agressive for even high grades) at nearly all possible temps, if not all.

because of the too agressive timing your engine will be knocking (mainly at lower rpms for reason i dont want to explain), harming your engine, but if your car is designed well enough the ecu will cut back on the timing significantly when it sense a knock so that the engine is not harmed, but this will significantly hinder performance as well. I think that most v6es cut back on timing in this way, but the resistor will still cause them to knock, just not as much

BTW, ironic avatar

as for that box and what not yeah thats the biggest gimmick youll ever see

o im the retard well then i guess hooked on phonix really worked for u. its the engine coolant temp sensor as i said. and its not a drastic change in the fuel curve it just richens it a wee little bit wich can help if you have breathing mods so read the post first jackass

do you even drive a mustang

Since it seems to have a "Ford Racing" logo on it, I wonder if the Ford corporate Lawyers will think it is a joke................

definiteyly not

i hope they are contacted, i particularly dislike the dishonesty in the advertising of auto parts (all of automotive everything for that matter, lol) but, then again, im not stupid or ignorant(more correct) enough to buy anything like that
