You need a cowl hood to make that work...

You could take off the header panel, and have some custom fiberglass work done and paint it flat black and put gauges in that....
But It would look kinda bad. With a cowl hood you can just mold them into the cowl.

its a fuel pressure gauge and it has to be mounted outside the vehicle

IMHO gauges on the outside of the car look like total shit unless you have a cowl hood. $140 really isn't that much at all(relatively speaking for modding a car). If I were you, I would just pay the extra $140 to mount the gauge inside you car. If you aren't willing to pay that, then don't get the gauge at all. You really don't need a fuel pressure gauge unless you're doing some really serious modding anyway. In which case $140 is just a small drop in the bucket. By the time I'm done with my car, I will have spent more than twice what I paid for it on mods alone.

i just bought an apillar off of speed of sound and it looks amazing. If you really wanted guages out on the hood, drill bit + duck tape = success. Lol, sry jk. Im sure jegs has some sort of universal hood guage setup.
