Question

Intake questions...

Ok I got a new job recently and I'm making some decent money so after my exhaust is all set and done (MAC LTs O/R H pipe Flow 40s) i wanna get a ported upper and lower intake. Ive looked into the windstar upper intake from Chris's site but it looks like hes not in business for the time being but to be honest i know nothing about intakes. Would it be cheaper to send my intake to a machine shop to have it ported/polished or can i buy a new intake thats already ported/polished? and with that ill need a new throttle body right? to match the intake and ill prolly replace my CAI because ive had mine forever... and why not? Soo whats do I need for this? I would prefer to get a new intake ported/polished because my cars been around the block a few times and i would feel better with new parts .

So can anyone give me the low down on what ill be expectiong to see out of this, how much it will set me back, WHERE i can get the new intake (if i can) and anything im missing? Thanks

Cliffnotes:
-Looking into ported/polished upper/lower intake
-New intake? port mine? windstar?
-where can i get everything?
-what will i get out of this? how much?

im still selling windstar intakes for the time being

most machine shops usually qoute for about 1-2inches deep of porting
but myself i fully port w/e i can reach which is usually about 4-5inches down or the lower intake and heads those i fully port
the upper intake you cannot with out cutting it open

a machine shop charges about $150-200+ for theyre 1-2inches of porting
my upper intake cost $175 for a deeper port
