going get warranty work done

ok my cars scheduled to go into the shop at the ford dealer tomorrow to change out my ac compressor thats goin out,now my question is, i have a x-cal 2 programmer on my car,i know they say to put your car back to stock when its brought in for warranty work, but will it hurt my car running it with the stock tune since i have a cold air intake and 3.73 gears?? every wheres i see online says that you have to have a tune when you put an intake on ,so would it hurt it using it this short amount of time or do they mean that continuous driving without a tune would hurt it.

Are they gonna be plugging into your computer? If it's just an AC swap I dont think you would need to detune your car.

if u have an 05+ then i think they do need a tune for cai. but as the above post says if its just ac i dont think it should matter

can they find problems with the car such as that by plugging into the computer, or does that only work if the check engine light is on?

The can run a diagnostic on the car even if the check engine light is out, the light only comes one if the problem is a reoccurring one or a very serious one

normally you can mod ur car, but unless the actual mods cause the defect(such as ac) they most likely wont care about the mods then.

I would put in back to stock...why take the chance ?? With the auto industry in such bad shape most of the dealerships are getting a good deal of pressure related to warranty work anyway. Going back to stock will hurt nothing if all you have is a cold air intake......Better safe then sorry - but then again I am 62 so what do I know ???
