2001 Mustang Quarter Panel

So basically, my right passenger side rear quarter panel needs to be replaced. I keep finding front quarter panels, but I need the rear. I realize its a big job, ill have it done at a shop. Where can I find the quarter panel to buy?!?!

btw, im refering to the rear wheel quarter panel.

a junk yard is your best bet to be honest. it's not a bolt on piece so that is going to be very expensive to fix.
that sucks.. sorry to hear it

i think your best bet is calling the ford comp. and getting them to get it for you it will cost a little more because its coming straight from the comp...but i looked too and i couldnt find a thing

Once I get the actual part, any idea, price wise, this sort of thing could cost me to install? Including paint and instalation?

isn't the quarter pannel your looking at part of the body?? that means you would have to have it chopped off and a new one welded in place... their are some options...

if your conifedent with a grind wheel and have a table saw... you might be able to do this...

cut out the damaged section and use it as a template... make some tabs to hole the new replacement part... liquid weld them in and then attach the replacement patch... then weld the new part in... unless you don't know how then bond-o prime and paint... a lil crazy but it works

The rear quarter is an integral part of the body. Unless you are VERY good at body work, I highly recommend you just simply take it into a shop and have THEM worry about the part and where they get it. Rear quarters is not a very good project for the novice body worker. I've been there, done that, and got the t-shirt.....

Oh yea, definately, I dont plan on doing this myself. Im more interested in knowing the costs of this. Anyone have an idea what something like this might run me at the shop? The estimates made above almost seem cheap compared to the work apparently involved.

If you were in the MN area, I would hazard a guess at anywhere between $800 for a crap job.. meaning LOTS of body putty.... up to 2500 for high-quality work and flawless paint matching...

But, that is simply guesswork..

Just toss a call out, they can ballpark it over the phone.

thats the image i got....you can take that to a body shop and get that fixed....but as far as the whole rear quarter panel goes you can by them and yes you would have to chop the old one off and have it profesionally put on
