powersteering


hey guys look my steering when im at a stop its hard ass hell to turn i check the fluid and everything is fine some one told me it could be my rack and pinions but today in the morning i turned it on to go to work and it was working fine. but when i got to the first stop it got hard again but thank god when im driving its like normal. help...

maybe the fluid is really really old?

i would just flush it and put new fluid in.

No strange noises?

the truth is the night before i was doing donuts and when i finish and i was really proud cuz i didnt think my car could do that but yea after my steering got hard i pop the hood and saw that my power steering was low and really black

So you have the wheel cranked all the way over for a decent amount of time cuz thats pretty hard on the pump you could have damaged it.

+1 the user manual says not to keep your wheel turned all the way in one direction for more than 5 seconds or it can damage your power steering pump. However, that being said, I would bet flushing the system and getting new fluid will fix your problem.
