Throttle Body

So I have a CAI kit with K&N air filter on it and plan on getting full exhaust to let my six breathe better. I've been looking at throttle bodies to help the cause but wish to know some downfalls (if any) of going big. They make 65mm and 70mm kits for the '00 v6, I'd suppose bigger, more flow, is better? I'm running all motor with no forced induction. Any suggestions?

you would see no gains from a bigger throttle body unless you got your intake ported to match it

+1, you wont see any gains from just adding a bigger throttle body. you need to port your intakes and such to see those gains.

A larger throttle body allows more air flow, which, no more air can flow unless it has a place to go. (read what the guys above said for that, haha.)

Spend the money else where, such as putting it towards porting and polishing.

Makes sense, thanks guys ... Exhaust is next on the list (if you've seen my other post suspension was step one) then I'm aimin' at 3:73's and a t-lok + tune ... props to FordSpeedRacing; Largo, FL

yeah as said {i will not give the example i always gave about the door and house its too much to write lol!}

ur changin to a larger t.b but your intakes cannot hold more air in because they are made for the 65mm stock size which mean u need to port and polish them so they can have better flow and capacity
