302 build?

As I continue to explore options regarding the build-up of my car, I've found yet another possibility. I happen to have 2 complete 302 engines, both of which run. Would it be better to build/supercharge one of these 302s a little at a time, outside of the car, all the while building the car itself to support the engine, and eventually install the built/charged engine in the car? will my 4r70w tranny work with a 302? I also have 2 t5s with bell housings if i need them, but i really was looking at a built auto.
I think this would be easier to do, and involve less downtime for my car.
The big question is:
Is this possible, and what would I need to do to the car to be able to do it?

Many Many things, i dont know the specifics but the 4.6 swap i wanted to do didnt happen because of how much was needed, and i had a 4.6 that ran and everything.

i think this belongs in the 5.0 section

if your talking about a v6 to 5.0 conversion

you would need a lot
different fuel setup-fuel lines, fuel rail, fuel pump probably fuel hat and wiring
lots of vacuum hoses and then your upper and lower radiator
the radiator
a/c compressor, evaporator, expansion valve
power sterring, power sterring lines, might be able to keep the rack & pinion
water pump
heater hoses
headers
exhaust
the t5 will bolt up not sure about the auto
different computer
alternator
belt
motor mounts
wiring harness

this if its fuel injected 5.0
if its carb'd lol well have fun with the fuel setup
