2003 Mustang MPG incredibly lowI set my trip odometer this last time I filled up, and it is telling me I have driven 100 miles, and my gas tank is already at the halfway mark. Now - I doubt I'll get another hundred out of this thing, since it hangs out at full for like 50 miles, and then starts dropping fairly rapidly. around 75 miles it said I had 3/4 of a tank... so only 25 miles later I apparantly only have half a tank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Ha, i just went through this same exact thing, im probably getting around 23mpg now just because i havent done anythin else extensive, but try changing those front 02 sensors, (that did wonders) and my other thing i forgot to do was check my air filter like i should have, after that, i was doin great, as for agressive driving, if your on a regular street thats like 45 and your goin 60, i dont think that affects it as much as people say, as long as your not doing a whole lot of stop and go, stop and go, then youlll be fine overall, try changing the fuel filter to,

Thanks for the replies. I do not smell fuel, and I don't have any evidence of a leak. I am also a fairly moderate driver - I take it easy and typically try to drive conservatively.
I will def. look into the fuel filter, the air filter, and the o2 sensors. Thank you again. |
