Bolt-On Exhaust Planning, Etc.

Hey, hey. Sorry about that! Haven't been around as much as I wish, and for some reason, when I was at the National Training Center in Cali, it wasn't letting me connect to modded. So, here's where I'm at whilest making my Christmas list:

First, I wanted just to improve my exhaust. That was my ultimate need. However, I started reading around more forums and tech articles, and began to find the other things that i wanted to do to the 'stang. And decided that it would probably be better to plan ahead with everything, that way I don't end up spending more than I have to.

So, after first looking around, I had decided on going with a complete MAC system. Longtube ceramic headers, high-flow catted h-pipe (I know, I know.. i hate emissions too), and cat-back, all from MAC. End cost woulda been about a grand, even with free shipping from LM Performance. It's all bolt on, so I could've installed it myself with alot of time/effort/tech-guides/buddies and beer. Then, as I said, I started looking about.

I'm not sure whether I want to super or turbocharge it yet. This depends on whether I want to keep the car as a fun/project car and get a daily driver in the future (IE, if I get deployed to Iraq again, or get another re-enlistment bonus of 10,000, I'll buy another car, and spend all my money on this 'stang.) But, either way, I'll have it for awhile, so I wanted to mod it out. Here's what I'm looking at:

Would it be better to keep the stock headers, and just apply a high-flow catted H for stock/shorties and a cat-back (both bolt-ons from MAC), if there's a possibility of going SC/TT in the future (since i hear Long tubes don't cooperate well with them)? I doubt it'll change the sound that much!

And if I do go with the h-pipe and cat-back, will they still just be simple bolt-on to the stock headers, or will I have to do cutting and welding, which I'd rather not. Thanks in advance!!!

superchargers are ideally used with long tubes, and turbochargers are generally used with inverted shorty design unless the turbo is mounted at the rear of the car (or out of the engine bay)

but they are a simple bolt on, but will require a GT mustang cat back either way for the mid pipe

So all I should need to buy is the 00 high-flow hpipe for stock headers, and a mac catback... and new brackets of some sort to hang the pipes under the bumper, right?

catbacks come with all hardware to bolt on, including brackets.

if you wanna save some money then use your y pipe and have it cut and then use stock GT catback. http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/pipes.htm
because you can have two straight pipes instead of going h pipe heres why
http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/pipes_hpipe.htm

this way would be alot cheaper and still sound good
i know he had a video but i cant find it
