lower, smoother ride?

I'd like to lower my car .75-1 inch.
However, the rear suspension on my car seems really rough (I know we feel the road in my car, but the back end feels like it's slamming the ground sometimes, even if the front went over the bump just fine)
Is there a setup out there that will give me the drop and smooth out my ride?
I know my suspension isn't worn out- I just replaced the entire system.

Uhh, Eibach pro kit springs? And what kind of shocks/struts did you put in?

I still say '03 Cobra IRS w/ Maximum Motorsports coilovers...

Might cost a little more than you would like, but it would work.

I believe people have used Fox body shocks in the rear on lowered cars because they don't bottom out as soon as our sn95 shocks do.
