5.7 swap?
Well I was looking around and heard you can put a 350 LT1 or LS1 into a V6 mustang. Apparently AJE sells the K member for it.
This has me interested, exactly how hard would it be to do this swap? I imagine i'll need all the under hood goods, but what about linking it to the transmission or linking the chevy transmission to the ford drive shaft? Is the swap really worth it or not? |

LS1 isn't a 350
![]() Either way its prob not cheap once its said and done. suspension -> rear end -> t56 -> wiring -> k memeber -> ls1 -> misc parts.

the only way this swap would be worth it is if you also did say h/c to the lsx motor first than dropped it cuz than youd be looking at 410+ at the wheels n/a wit a nice setup and supporting mods.

a bone stock ls1 can blow a rear end like your turbo 6 did. just about every lsx guy pushing power has either a 12 bolt rear or a 9"

theres no need for a 9in rear unless your doing mid low 9s or have a rediculous amount of low end torque such as nitrous off the line or a roots/twins screw

walk around to the back of ur car and look on ur trunk lid, it should say "FORD" in a blue emblem, read it, learn it, and say it outloud if you must. Dropping an ls1 chevy motor into a v6 mustang is like fucking your sister, it just aint right. unless im missing somthing and doing this kinda shit is accepted?

but i do agree that the ls1 is gods motor, stock camaros run 12s and give cobras a run, but i just dont think putting a chevy motor in a ford is cool, but hey, who the fuck am i ya kno?

an ls1 is in the lsx family still. bone stock camaros and firebirds blow the rears and thats why most guys will upgrade as one of the first few mods if they wanna build the car right the first time. sure the 9" may not be necessary unless youre running 9s but the 7.5" stocker will blow w/ a stock low 13 pass so theres really no inbetween
