You do not want to run underdrive pulley's with a vortech or procharger, as that will cut down on the boost you get. The Vortech and Procharger run off the serpentine belt system on your vehicle. I am not sure on other makes of Superchargers though...

only thing you need is an oil feed for most superchargers, fuel pump, fuel injectors, tune.
a cai is not able to be used with a s.c

That has been fabbed up by himself. He did the eaton m90 swap, and then did some extra some stuff. Also all superchargers require stock pulleys. All s/c run off the serpentine belt, and u/d would just make it harder to create boost, and more power.

If your going to spring the cash on a supercharger, the extra investment in properly building up the lower end of the motor is not hard to swallow... and it is a VERY good investment.
I've run B&M blowers on several older chevy/ford vehicles, and I've seen what happens when you put lots of boost on a stock motor... and it isn't pretty..... |

The stock hypereutectic pistons don't hold up very well. With a base tune, my stock lower end only lasted for 1 hour. The piston pins pulled through the bottom of the pistons leaving me only 2 flat discs of piston left. (cylinders 1 and 4).
And yes, the CAI (like most of my car) is a custom job. But, a lot of Thunderbird Supercoupe performance parts will fit if you do an m90 swap. A centrifugal supercharger (procharger or vortech) will be much much easier to install than a roots style (m90). But, I'd have to agree with most everyone else on this site. Build the base engine as strong as you can the first time, it's much better than having castastrophic failure later.
