are you looking for performance or where do you want to go with the car?
on a 98, i would do a split port swap with a windstar from crt first but other than that you got many choices: gears, tlok, exhaust, cai, suspension, tuner the list goes on..

get gears and t-lok, and then pick a tuner, i hear most people get the most satisfaction out of the gears and t-lok mod then anything, plus since you have that money saved up you can put it right in cause installation cost about just as much as both of them put together, its a good thing to get out of the way to.

You have absolutly no need for drs. $1100 won't get you as much as you think. That's, if not enough, then just barely enough for wheels with cheap tires.

sadly enough thats all you can get if you go with wheels and tires, versus a complete package that lets you feel more power, for instance
GEARS T-LOK AND TUNER!!!!!!.......
