I give up. I'm backing out on this site. I've been reading into it, and it seems likely that they will find at least one company to sponsor you. Then, they can take the $89 that you already authorized on your card when you signed up.

What happens with the sponsorship? Well, probably not much. You might get some expensive stickers.

If anybody has gone through with this (where they actually got some parts), please let us know. Prove me wrong.

Yea i definately have been on that site for quite some time and got accepted with the full sponsorship as they so call it. yea virtually all the parts they have for purchase at their "way below retail value" is bullshit. i can and do get better deals on ebay. that site is a big waste of money. the only anything i ever had a chance to get for free was a 60$ XM Sportster satellite radio with minimal effort. the only way you get anything free is you have to be in actual car shows . show you have won prizes and take pictures of the parts youve purchased from the site on your car and then you send that in and all this other bs, and if your lucky they reimburse you. maybe! which doesnt happen. they also require you go to big car shows, sema or whatnot and obviously bringin my car down to wherever this is and win a trophy in order to get something free is just not gonna happen. dont waste your time or money on that site if youve been thinking about it. its not worth it i assure you.

Thank you, Sir! If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I have seen alot of people pay the $89 and they end up getting Jack $hit...

Also with sponsors you are contracted to go to at least "this many shows..." and if you dont go to that many shows they have no obligation to help you...Alot of places that "sponsor" you...Just send you some stickers and say you are sponsored...Its bs 9/10 times...

hey guys....i just read into the contracts from my sponsors and you guys were right. it is too good to be true, and yes it is a scam. too bad i got suckered into it and wasted 89$. how it works is this - you buy parts off of your sponsors, (sometimes discounted prices) and install them on your car. slap a sticker promoting the company on your ride, and take it to a large car show. this is the catch. it has to be a decent size car show with at least 100 cars entered into it. you'll only get your money reimbursed by the sponsors IF and ONLY if you win a first, second, or third place prize. first place is reimbursement up to 1000$, second is $500, third is $250...and you still have to pay for installation of the part. Plus you have to send them photos of the part installed on your car. So basically this is cool if you have a show car that will win a place, which isn't me, unfortunately. Gay. Supergay. I'm an idiot.

The only true sponsorship for your ride, is through the actual company that you are wanting one with. IF you go through a third party there wil always be a fee for the "sponsorship". I good way to start a sponsorship affiliation is to talk to the people on this forum, ie. the owners, and start a pool. If everyone tosses in $1 that is X amount total, vote to sponsor a certain car. This can be done monthly yearly etc etc. Fact of the matter is the more people you have with "ModdedMustangs.com" somewhere on their car, the more traffic through the site, the more members the bigger the $$$ allowing sponsorship.

COmbine all the $$ into a sponsor account where MM picks up $% of cost for an approved part or something. I find alot of people give to the cause in hopes of being chosen, and well if your choosing 12 people a year, the odds are pretty good for getting some $$ and or Parts.

Well on this site we already get the window decals for free...And the saite is provided free of charge...

Try local speedshops...Sometimes they will give you a cut on prices if you buy their parts and send them some business they will prolly talk more with you about sponsorship...
