I wouldn't say ALWAYS...If you are VERY VERY heavily modded and you have a good tune then you can see the advertised 15 HP. But we're talking MAJOR MODS.
however...it still doesn't matter what the name on the side says.

I used to have one of the AM models on my '98... The thing was a bit of a pain to put in due to some poor choices in the pipe's bends on the manufacturer's part and when the metal started rusting and the rubber seals started cracking, I ended up switching back to my stock equipment with a K&N filter and no silencer. Call me crazy, but I liked the feel of the stock one with the K&N better. Maybe it's the ribs in the rubber breaking up the airstream, maybe it's the cooler, non-metalic tubing, but hey, it's just an opinion in the end...

I'd also like to go ahead and say that black engine components with a good dose of Armor All protectant look better and more muscly than all that chrome nonsense anyway, so imo, go with a high-quality CAI system or don't bother with one.

So I got my intake today, but a the part that attaches the tubing to the grommet and MAF sensor is bent. Should I return it and ask for another one, or is this okay? I have some pictures of it in relation to the other four attached. What do you guys think?

It'll be a tight enough seal with the grommet and MAF sensor if I just bend it back like that?
