car running to lean
ok so my service engine light came on and i took it to autozone and it was throwing a PO171 and a PO174 code. it said it was running too lean so am i gonna hafta replace the O2 sensors or the MAF sensor? has anyone else had this problem?

I remember throwing those codes...one is for lack of oxygen, and one is for running lean. I would assume he either replaced the faulty o2 sensor, or it cleared itself since the sensor isn't completely bad.

i have those same codes and idk how to fix them, i thought it was a vacuum leak cuasin it but i fixed that and its still throwing the same codes

yes i could be a fulty o2 sensor..or it could b the maf is dirty.. try using some rubbing alchol..just dab a little on it..and dry it clean..that should fix the problem.. if not the o2 sensor is bad..or it could be that your cat is crap..and not doin its job..

Use carb cleaner on the maf...or better yet maf cleaner. yeah they sell it. And those codes do mean replace the faulty o2 sensor
