You have to take the rear deck matting off and then disconnect the speakers and un install them via the bottom. Reinstalling is from the top concidering they are 5x7's which is a off size these days. Match up the + and - correctly and you should be set.

i have a 94 and thats exactly what i did except then i cut holes in the deck because i didnt think spending money on expensive speakers made sense if it was just going to get muffled by the deck lid. after i cut the holes i found a pair of 4 in' speaker grills over it. looks slick and i belive it transfers a lil more sound.

the deck has holes in it to allow sound to come through. What I did was installed 5x7's in the rear deck then cut out a 5x7 hole on the lid, and layed new carpet over that, two tone to match the interior of my car.

sure not a problem, once I get off work tomorrow and there is some light outside I will be happy to take some pictures of it for you.
I also junked the rear seats and made a rear seat delete where under it I have mounted with a false floor my two amps and cap. All the wires are running under the false floor to their respective locations.
