ya 3000gt's are pretty quick. well the vr4(twin turbo'd) ones are. but i went and test drove one because i wanted to get it (thank god i didnt) but it was n/a and automatic slowest car ive ever driven. i asked if i could floor it and the guy said be careful for cops and it has alot of power. i almost rofl'd my lawnmower is faster than that thing. okay maybe an over exageration but the thing had no pickup what so ever. the guy said he could beat my stang and i said bring it on but he said he didnt want to get in trouble with the cops. he fixed the tranny himself so maybe thats why?

haha. damn. that sounds like the dude who told me that. He wants to race in his dad's s10. But he said he wont till he gets a chip. Sad to see people with little confidence. Sorta sad that he needs a chip to boost his confidence

The Sl coupes pretty much suck but those Vr4's are very quick, but you can't find them anywhere.

There is actually a guy I work with who owns one... its down for repairs because he is basically stupid...

He took it out racing all over one night, then drove straight home and parked it..... turbos overheated and coked up the oil in the return lines pluggin it up.... next day, he made it about 1/2 way to work when first one turbo went out, then the other..... According to what he said (and the cylinder head I saw, along wtih a piston) the 2nd turbo shrapneled the compressor and shot bits into the motor.....

yeah 3000gt's are fast....i used to have a vr4....but that didnt last too long...

that car is a beast...when its modded its absolutly insane with upgraded turbos, and other mods...modded i'd say it can very well be compared with supras

i am tlkin baout the vr4s...incase anyone got confused....i wouldnt mind having it...i'd prefer it over a supra to be honest....to many ppl look at the supra has a GOD or something, it puts out big hp #'s but not to many are made for track...and on the track with ther street tires those 800hp supra put out times that a 400hp stang can ...but the stang has drag radials still...

supras with drag radials i'll keep my mouth shut cuz some are pretty damm quick

but look up some 3000gt videos....deffinitly arent slow.,....also acura NSX's ppl dont know much about them but stock its FAST it was sed to compete with ferrari and vipers for $60-70k...some have them with high psi turbos....wicked fast

I agree with you 100%. i currently drive an '88 non turbo supra, inline 6. I looked up the specs and it sad 200hp base stock, im like ok cool. But when people see me they start askin strange questions. Its sorta embarassing to answer

lol they are fast obviously, well any car can be fast but just to many ppl think thats the top car of all cars when really its clear that my car is lol

uhh the only reason that the 3000GT's are godly is cuz they are four wheel drive... (i hope im tired and hopefully im not mixing my cars)

i too almost bought a 3000gt but it was in shit shape and the whole interior had to be redone.... and... i have done one of those and thats enough for me for a while... so yea....

with 100K I would buy a 98 Toyota Supra RS with a 6 speed manual and put a tt setup in it(the 98 didn't come with any turbos, just n/a. They were left over from 97.). Or a couple other choice cars, but I want that damn Supra.

The 3K GT's are nice...But there is always someone faster...And the parts for those cars are not cheap at all...

All you guys forget about the Dodge Stealth R/T which is the 3K GT's twin...I like the stealths better anways...

If I could have any car (under that price) right off the top of my head would be be a 1999 Saleen Mustang S-351...
