Friend has engine ?

Ok so i finally got my friend to get rid of his '95 200sx stock 4 banger, and he bought a '93 Mustang v6 coupe...The car has a great frame, but the engine is crap. He got the car for $500 so its not too bad. He looking to replace the original v6 w/ a new v6 (damn gas prices).

Does anyone on here know of a good site that sells v6 engines that'll drop into his car. Or is ebaymotors his best choice. He'll be setting up an account on here b4 long, but wanted me to go ahead and ask u guys what u think. thx for any help

the 4.6's get just about as good gas mileage as the V6's... it's only off by 1 or 2 mpg... which can easily be made up for with a few bolt on mods...

If you're going to spend all that money/time on replacing an entire motor, might as well put a V8 in it... IMO

if tight on money get a v6 that will just drop right in, if not tight on money, upgrade to 4.6.

He's tight on money right now so hes looking around. I have a question, it'll sound stupid but bear w/ me. He has a 95 ranger v6 sitting in the garage. Would he be able to drop that v6 into his stang. I'm terrible at this stuff so im just wondering. The v6 out of the ranger is in good condition, but the ranger itself isnt so its just sitting there.

the ranger swap would require a new computer, vacuum lines, probably heater hoses and radiator hoses as well
those are OHC motors and are 3.0 and 4.0
unlike the 3.8 push rods
and im not sure if the fuel system is return style or non-return
which since its a different block it would probably require a different bellhousing
