V6 Tranny Swap (Auto to Manual) HELP!!

I've got an 02 V6 3.8L w/ an auto transmission.
I'm looking to do a tranny swap and put in a manual. I know its going to run me anywhere from $1,000 - $3,000... So please refrain from telling me "It's not worth it."

...I can't seem to find a listing of what parts I'm going to need in order to do the swap. I'm looking to scrounge around for the parts, rather than buying a kit.

If anyone can list what I should be looking to buy, I would be VERY GRATEFUL! I'm just looking for the basics, nothing fancy for now.

I searched the threads and came up with this. Its for the T-5 Transmission. Hope it helps I've seen some more lists around here, I've thought about doing the swap myself. If I find them, I'll post them up here also.

List should be a direct link to the tutorial.

its not worth it
sell the car and buy a 5speed if you want it
and if you want over 300rwhp+ and bang gears
start looking for a stronger t5

Most people say its not worth it, but I think sometimes it is. If someone is willing and able to do the labor themselves, and say their car has sentimental value to them, or they have already put a lot of time and money into it. and there is the possibility that it may be hard to find a good deal on a manual in their area. (like my case, I think i got a really great deal on my car, the only downside is its an auto, but when I was looking for one, I didn't see ANY manuals, or I would have probably got it instead .... unless it was considerably higher) Not trying to say your wrong chris, just sometimes its something to consider.

Hey guys, thanks a ton for the warm welcome and the solid advice.

As far as the labor goes... What I can do myself, I will, but I have a very limited knowledge of the mechanics behind this, so I would most likely end up having to have to have someone else do most of the work.

I'm not worried about performance. I just want a manual. Biggest mistake was settling for an auto.

Yeah, I guess thats true, but I think a manual would be more fun... I'm still undecided on what I would prefer, lol. Although I admit, I am leaning towards the manual.

I say do it. I think manual makes driving a lot more enjoyable. I feel like I am out of control in an auto.
