Clutch Or Cable?

well less than 2000 miles ago i put in a ford replacement clutch and today when i was driving i noticed my clutch started to catch much later than it usually does. like it use to catch right when i was letting out now my foots almost all the way up when it catches. the other day i went to the track and went down the track once and then the other time just burned out and then a c6 crashed on the track so i couldnt go down. but do you think maybe my cable needs to be adjusted or that i might have really messed up my clutch. i hope its not the latter because that was alot of work i dont have the time to do again. also if it is the cable(god willing lol) how do i adjust it?

btw when i burned out it was only 5 secs or less just to get the water off my tires since theyre street tires.

well i doubt you could trash a clutch even if you drove the piss out of it which i doubt is the case. i believe to adjust the clutch pedal your just suppost to pull the pedal towards you and it will readjust. potentially the throwout bearing could be getting stuck. is it always grabbing late or every now and again?

always late. well im about to go to walmart so ill pull the pedal up. i doubt it would be the bearing because when i did the clutch change out i changed t/o bearing, pilot bearing, new pressure plate and resurfaced the flywheel. i sure hope the clutch is fine. i dont want to change it on a car im trying to sell.

also remembe that the clutch needs to break in first so that might be what your feeling also if yoou do adjust your cable make sure you leeve some free play in the pedal or your clutch will wear very quickly
