Fuel Injectors

i am doing an intercooled turbo to my v6 mustang and iw as wondering about the fuel system. do i need new fuel rails? and i was wondering about my fuel injectors. The aftermarket fuel injectors are they the same as the gt mustang fuel injectors. so what im asking is will the v8 fuel injectors work on my v6 mustnag? it is a 2000 3.8l mustang

From what I know, you should not need different fuel rails unless you are going absolutly insane with boost levels and spraying the car.

the 5.0 injectors are the same style (but larger #) as the pre 98 v6's, and I think the 4.6 and 3.8 from 99+ used the same style injector....

There are numerous sites out there in which to cross-reference this though, like Accel and Summit Racing. Injectors usually come in singles, 4, 6, or 8 packs... just check the part #'s for the packages.... Generally will be a 1,4,6, or 8 depending on how many are in the package, but the first set of numbers is the actual injector number, followed by the # in the pack followed by the size of the injector (at least for accel and a couple other aftermarket types...)....

For example (with accel injectors)...

150624
150824

part #150, 6 in the package, 24# injectors.....
part #150, 8 in the package, 24# injectors.....
Same injector, just packaged as 6 or 8, depending on if you want for a V6 or V8

You REALLY want new injectors to.. the factory ones can't really deal wtih much boost.....

*EDIT* corrected the part number style for the accel injectors.

I think the v6 has 21#/hr and the gt 24#/hr, could be mistaken though

I ran a set of 39lb injectors from a stock 03-04 supercharged cobra in my 98 v6. I did need to get new electrical connecters from the dealer. I bought the set of 8 brand new for $140 off ebay. I suggest looking into those kind of injectors.
