What are the avaliable stock gear ratios for a 2000 v6 auto? What size is the rear end?.. and are there aftermarket places that make gears for these rears (if they are different from the GT)

the stock gearing a 2000 v6 is 3.27 gears. the rear end is a 7.5" which is different from the GTs 8.8" rear end. ford makes gears and motive also makes gears for the 7.5" rear. check out Latemodel Restoration Supply - Mustang & Chevy Truck Parts. they have good prices. if youre lookin into swapping gears, youll want the gears, master bearing kit, and gear fluids. while youre in the rear end, you should also upgrade the differential. if you dont plan on any power over ~275rwhp a ford racing traction lock will do. if you plan on bigger power like 275-400rwhp than youll need a detroit locker or detroit tru-trac differential. anything over 400rwhp and you should just upgrade to an 8.8" rear end off of a mustang gt of an equivalent year
