Straight pipes.


Just a thought. Personally, I enjoy the sound of open headers. Its just loud and aggressive and I realy enjoy it. Now, my quition is, would by some cheap, whatever kinda of mufflers and completely gutting them and welding them shut and running no cats straigt back out to the tips; would that give the sound of open headers but enough back pressure to not ruin the engine?

Just a thought.

I don't think it sounded to bad in the vid, but keep in mind that we heard what it sounded like echoing off the walls of the garage.
but then again, vids don't give a completely accurate represention of the sound...

is it like two straight pipes with two mufflers ?

if you gut the mufflers theres going to be no back pressure at all pretty much
its only going to be a matter of time before you start chewing up exhaust valves and hurting the exhaust valve springs
