Help, Cant Get Her Restarted

Ok heres the problem i have a 2000 v6 stang, and it cut off on me at a red light as i was pressing the throttle, and then wouldnt restart, and hasnts restarted since, i turn the key and it cranks and just feels like its not getting any fuel, so i replaced the fuel filter hoping for an easy fix, but no luck, and yes it has 3/4 of a full tank of gas, it has some basic mods, cold air intake, mac headers, any Suggestions to help me get my pony back on the road again

... is it possible for a fuel pump to seize up??

that would be a guess.... or maybe a fuel line some where has ruptured... any drips or leaks??

well i did check and there were no visible leaks anywhere on the fuel lines or tank, but to add to the post, before i replaced the fuel filter, the fuel system was depressurized, and i found that .... odd

there is quite a few things that could go wrong as chris just stated... your best bet to narrow everything down would be to have a diagnostics test run on your car.... if you can try to troubleshoot before you go to a shop by checkin any components that can be easily checked.. you dont want to get into major work and find that it is an easy fix

one quick way to check your fuel pump...

First.. make sure NONE Of your fuses are blown.....

Second... just turn the key to ON... you SHOULD hear your fuel pump do a short bump.....

If none of your fuses are blown, and you do NOT hear the fuel pump do a short bump when you turn the key to on... then check on other things..... This will only verify that the pump IS or IS NOT pumping....

One of the things I would check after the above is that fuel pump relay/shut off switch in the trunk. on my 1997, its in the truck, behind the carpeting where the drivers side tail light bolts are.....

You can also check the electrical system. First, use a spark testor or a good spark plug, but be careful not to shock yourself.

You can check if the injectors are firing by making a cone to help you listen for the clicking of the injectors while someone turns over the motor.

I had the same problem with my 93 Lincoln Continnental (3.8 v6). It suddenly died and would crank but not start. The injectors weren't firing, and I was having a hard time reading codes. It turns out my PCM wasn't getting power due to a bad relay in the CCRM (Constant control relay module). So, I wired in an external relay and all is well.
