it's entirely possible, drive mildly, and at exactly the speedlimit, or a bit under...

alow yourself enough room to coast to a stop, rather than braking, slowly accel to speed, you know... drive like grandma...

the v6 in my vw gets 26 mpg in the city I dont see why it would not be possible with moderate and responsible driving to get that type on the highway

I've get 26mpg on the interstate in my GT. I don't see why 27.5 would be hard in a 6 cylinder.

Definitely possible...

I've averaged 27mpg on tanks that were roughly 50/50 highway/city... and my car makes ~60whp more than stock, N/A.

I slowest you can go in 5th gear is ideal (or 4th in an auto). Minimize drag and RPMs.

I saw something on tv called "hypermiling". It was a pretty radical approach to saving A LOT of gas. Some techniques I follow...some i don't

Drive as fast as you freaking can! That way you'll get there before you run out of gas.

Seriously, the Wikipedia stuff is good.

Yeah, I can also get 27.5mpg on longer trips so it is possible.

Drove around 350 miles in one shot without stopping averaging 75mph and got 27.5mpg.
